Georgia State (3-4, 2-1 in Sun Belt) overcame a sluggish start to beat Texas State (2-5, 1-2 in Sun Belt) 28-16, outscoring the Bobcats 14-3 in the second half to win their second straight conference game.

Georgia State (2-4, 1-1 in Sun Belt) scored 28 unanswered points to finish the first half, overcoming an early 7-0 deficit to ULM (2-3, 1-2 in Sun Belt) and rolling in the end to an emphatic 55-21 win that snapped their two-game losing streak.

Georgia State (1-4, 0-1 in Sun Belt) hung around into the 3rd quarter against Appalachian State (4-1, 1-0 in Sun Belt), but offensive mistakes and defensive lapses doomed the Panthers to a 45-16 loss to open conference play.

Georgia State (1-3) led by 12 at halftime at #23 Auburn (3-1) but couldn’t respond after the Tigers rattled off 22 unanswered in the second half to escape the upset bid, 34-24.

Georgia State (1-2) mixed up their offensive lineup with a few new starters at QB, RB and WR and it paid off, as the Panthers beat the Charlotte 49ers (2-1) 20-9 in their first win of the season.

Georgia State (0-2) kept it close in Chapel Hill for 35 minutes and then had the bottom fall out, losing to #22/#24 North Carolina 59-17.

Georgia State (0-1) couldn’t get out of their own way and struggled mightily in their 2021 season opener, falling to the Army Black Knights (1-0) 43-10.
