Braves Announce Georgia State Night

The Atlanta Braves announced a much-anticipated partnership night with Georgia State University early Thursday afternoon. THERSday, August 22 2019 will be Georgia State Night at SunTrust Park as the Braves host the visiting Miami Marlins for a scheduled 7:20pm opening pitch.

Fans took to social media earlier in 2019 and previous years to express disappointment over a lack of an official Braves-Panthers partnership event. Although the GSU Alumni Association has held private group events at Braves games for a number of years, this event will be the first co-branded partnership of its kind between the MLB club and the university.

Georgia State joins Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia as well as a host of other institutions in the 2019 slate of College Night events.

Tickets may be purchased through a dedicated portal on the Braves’ website starting at $25. Each tier of ticket includes a seat in either the Infield Grandstand, Home Run Porch or Reserved Terrace as well as a Braves/Georgia State co-branded hat and a $3 donation to the GSU Foundation.
